Oh Sandy, What A Mess You Have Caused

Hurricane Sandy came out with a bang.  I knew once they had canceled school, closed businesses, and shut down all train stations and buses that this was something serious. With that in mind, I made my last minute trip to grocery store, stocked up on comfort food, and locked myself in my studio apartment and waited for what was to come. Starting in the Caribbean and then slowly but surely traveling up the East coast, Hurricane Sandy unleashed powerful winds and rains causing 67 deaths in the Caribbean, 1 death in Canada, 33 U.S deaths and stripping electricity from nearly 8 million U.S customers, according to CNN.

Thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones.
