Were you watching the debate last night? I rushed home from class, hoping that President Barack Obama hadn’t reverted back to the old demeanor of the first debate and prayed that he was going to be on Romney like white on rice. And to my oh so pleasant surprise, Obama suited up and showed out at last night’s debate in Boca Raton, Florida.
Obama has so much swag and it was in full effect last night. He was confident, assertive, and came loaded with the witty remarks that left Romney shaking and confused. In response to Romney’s belief that Russia is the greatest threat to the U.S Obama stated, “You want to import the foreign policies of the 1980s, the social policies of the 1950s, and the economic policies of the 1920s,” (eonline.com). Obama took another swing at Romney’s old and dated beliefs when he said “We also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military has changed,” (eonline.com).
Haha. Seriously, what decade is Mitt Romney living in? He is all over the place with his flip-flop policies, binders full of women, and 47% that I can barely keep up with his shenanigans. I really don’t know how anyone can. I guess Romnesia, cleverly coined by the POTUS himself, is a real condition and Mitt has all of the symptoms!
Mr. POTUS was clearly the winner. And if you didn’t know, you could look to Romney to tell you. Was I the only one who noticed that everything Obama said was nicely repackaged in Romney’s words? I guess he was putting those active listening and paraphrasing skills to work. Hey, whatever works for you Mittens!
With just two weeks to go until the election, it is time to do our part and get out there and vote! At the end of the day, it is about the candidate who is going to work in the interest of the people, the general public and not the elite circle. I want someone who is going to advocate for me and not degrade me because of who I am and what I look like. Seriously, we can’t have a president who goes around saying he has binders full of women as if we are objects, that 47% of the country feels that they are victims, and that single headed households lead to poverty, crime, and violence. I don’t think so!!! I sorry Mitt Romney you can’t be the POTUS if this is how you feel about the majority of people who live in this country. It is condescending, patronizing, and low-key racist.
With that said, exercise your political right Go Out and VOTE!!!!!!
